"A Free House (former Strongs pub) sympathetically restored in 1994 by the Cheriton Brewery. Now locally-owned offering good bar food and a changing range of real ales...No food on Tuesday evenings." Telephone: 01794 301280 Comments: Previously a Cheriton Brewhouse pub; changed hands and became a Free House in June '97. On our last visit we were greeted by a friendly landlord and a fair selection of very well kept ales (Hampshire Brewery's Ironside, Adnams' Broadside, Cheriton Best) straight from the cask.
