Organiser's Comments
Congratulations to Tom & Andy for scraping a win in front of Zip & Dick, and an excellent effort by Neil & Phil on Neil's first ever event - even getting a Mini through all that water is quite an achievement, never mind doing so with equal fewest fails. Well done Dave & Elly for an RUC win - it wasn?t anything like a clean sheet, but they won their class by making sure they got (most of) the TCs even when they were having to cut route. A mention also for Bob Wisniewski, who did well navving Muppet (which is never an easy job!), with the 'Non-Eligible' nav, and would have got a good result if Chris hadn't had a puncture in the penultimate section.
Finally, many thanks to all the marshals (Tom Maughan, Pete Wheatley, Paul Swindells, Max & Simon, Matt Hall, Matt Parker, Jeremy Organ, and Ashley Cromack & Nick Henry who had a lonely night as course closer) who turned out - driving from as far afield as Reading & Ringwood to lend a hand. Thanks also to Tom J for producing the timecards, to Muppet for visiting petrol stations to check opening times, and to 'mine host' at the Hinton Arms for ensuring that all finishers got drinks, even if they were a bit late at the pub.
